Since commencing production operations in April 1998, Monfori has rapidly established itself as a leading producer of high quality “elite” microplants of Teak, Acacia and hybrid Eucalyptus for Indonesian plantation forestry. In addition to micropropagation of forest tree species Monfori has year-round production capabilities for contract (‘toll’) production of ornamental species for international breeders and growers.Originally established involving life sciences company Monsanto Co., USA and the Australian-based Biotechnology Company, ForBio Limited. PT. Monfori is the first venture of its kind in Indonesia that uses the technology of two World Leading Companies for the development of high quality Plant Biotechnology Products, Systems and Services.
